Why Connect Stripe or PayPal to Your Squarespace Website

If you’re ready to start selling products or accepting online payments, integrating Stripe or PayPal with your Squarespace site is essential. Stripe allows you to process credit card payments directly through your website, while PayPal gives your customers an additional secure checkout option. Together, they help you run a professional, trustworthy online store.

Step 1: Open Your Squarespace Settings

On your Squarespace dashboard, click the gear icon located at the bottom of the main navigation panel.
This will open your site settings where you can manage selling, payments, and checkout options.

Step 2: Go to the Selling Section

In your settings, select “Selling.”
From here, click “Payments.”
This is where you’ll connect your Stripe and PayPal accounts to begin processing transactions.

Step 3: Connect Stripe or PayPal

Under the Payments section, you’ll see both Stripe and PayPal listed.
Click “Connect” next to the platform you want to integrate.
A pop-up window will appear asking you to sign in to your account.

If you’re connecting Stripe, log into your Stripe account and authorize Squarespace to access it.
Once completed, your Stripe account will automatically sync with your website.

Step 4: Confirm Connection and Test Payments

Once connected, your site is ready to take payments.
You can test a transaction by adding a product and running a sample checkout to confirm everything works correctly.
