Why You Might Want to Remove the Header or Footer

Sometimes, you may want to create a cleaner layout for a landing page, thank-you page, or special promotion without any navigation or footer content showing. Removing the header or footer on Squarespace lets you design focused, distraction-free pages that keep users’ attention where you want it most.

Step 1: Open Your Pages Panel

In your Squarespace dashboard, click on “Pages” under the “Website” section.
You’ll now see a list of all the pages on your site. Hover over the page you want to edit and click on the gear icon to open its settings.

Step 2: Navigate to the Page Settings

Once inside the page settings, select the “Navigation” tab located right under the “General” section.
This is where you can toggle visibility settings for both your header and footer.

Step 3: Disable the Header or Footer

You’ll see two simple toggle options to enable or disable the header and footer for the selected page.
Switch off the header, footer, or both depending on your design needs.

Step 4: Save Your Changes

Click Save, and your updates will apply instantly.
Remember — this setting only affects the specific page you edited. If you want to remove the header or footer on other pages, repeat this process for each one.
