How to Add an Anchor Link to Squarespace

Looking to add anchor links on your website to make clean transitions from one section to another? Here’s how you can add anchor links to your page:
Locate the section you want the button or link to scroll down to. You want this section to be the end goal of the button or link click.
Click on “Edit Section”
Scroll a bit down on the popup settings and you should see “Anchor Link”
Input a name in the anchor link box. This will be the URL that you will give to the buttons or links for them to scroll down to that section.
Make the URL something easy and short but won’t interfere with other anchor links if you have multiple
Once you input a name, click the 2 squares on the right of the box to copy the link
Now you will go to the button or block where you want to add that link to. This will be the block that triggers the scroll effect in the anchor link.
Paste that anchor link into the link section on the block
Make sure the link looks like this /#(url name) with the “url name” being the unique name you inputted in the previous steps
Once you put that link in, save that and the page.
Now when you click on the button or block, it should smoothly scroll down to the section you linked it to
