Page Activations website homepage

An agency that happened to own photo booths, not the other way around.

Page Activations is a Toronto creative-tech agency that has spent fifteen years producing photo and video activations for brands like Adidas, Nike, Lego, Disney and the Toronto Blue Jays. Nick, the founder, had already worked with me on the site for his Santa Experience Group, and came back to rebuild the main site after a frustrating run with his previous developer.

The starting point

The old site was about three years old, custom built by a developer Nick had stopped trusting, and hosted on servers that cost far more than they should. It was organized the way photo booth companies usually are, with a page for every piece of equipment, which undersold what the business actually does.

Almost all of their work comes from agencies and brands by referral. So the site didn’t need to catch random searches. It needed to convince a producer who had just heard the name that this is the team to call for a brand launch, and it had to move to Squarespace without losing the search authority the domain had built.

What they asked for

  • A tagline first, so visitors know right away this is an agency, not a booth rental
  • Client logos near the top, so the brand list adds authority without saying much
  • Work shown through video instead of equipment pages
  • Equal-size tiles for featured activations, so no one brand looks more important
  • A contact form with event date, a budget dropdown and spam protection
  • Tap-to-call and tap-to-email everywhere, in their red and black

What we built

The homepage opens on the tagline, “Experiential Tech That Brings Brands to Life,” over a full-bleed video of their work, with a marquee of more than forty client logos right underneath. “Where we show up” follows with eight equal-size video tiles, each named by brand and experience, like McCain’s Olympics Cheer Booth and LG x Toronto Raptors, so a visitor sees what they build before reading a word about it.

Instead of separate pages for each booth, the technology lives inside the work. The work page is a grid of twenty activations, each with its own page, and the names tell you what was built: a prize vault, a 360 experience, custom trading cards at Yorkdale Mall. Capabilities, in-house hardware and their North American equipment footprint get their own sections for the producers who want the details.

Video is embedded from Vimeo so a media-heavy site still loads fast. The contact form captures event date and budget range behind reCAPTCHA, so every inquiry arrives qualified, and the phone number and email are one tap on mobile. The move to Squarespace kept the domain and page structure, with 301 redirects for anything that changed, so the switch didn’t cost them the authority they’d built.

The result

A site that presents Page Activations the way their clients already see them: an agency with the production chops to back it up. The work does the talking, every inquiry arrives with a date and budget attached, and the hosting bill dropped with the move to Squarespace.
