A full-quality reel and one work grid
Team Thirteen is a video and motion graphics studio in South Salt Lake. Their old site had been started in Readymag by one designer and finished by another, and by launch day nobody at the company wanted it live. The reel came out so compressed it looked worse than the footage, and the work was split into buckets visitors had to click through.
We started over. I designed the site in Figma, then built it on Squarespace with custom code. The reel now plays at full resolution under a pinned menu, and every project sits in one grid that mixes vertical and horizontal video. Each project has its own page with the crew list and behind-the-scenes, and the team adds new work themselves.

Yes. Squarespace’s built-in grids work best when every tile is the same shape, so I use custom code to mix 9:16 and 16:9 tiles in one grid. Team 13 wanted it that way because vertical work tells people you do social at a glance.
